RedIF 2026: Santiago de Chile to Host the VI Congress of the Ibero-American Pharmacometrics Network

Pharmacometrics: Propelling Innovation in Clinical Pharmacology and Drug Development

RedIF 2026 Santiago

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile - Campus San Joaquín

Santiago de Chile will host the VI Congress of the Ibero-American Pharmacometrics Network (RedIF), to be held November 4-6, 2026 at the Centro de Innovación Anacleto Angelini, Campus San Joaquín, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Nestled between the Andes mountain range and the Pacific Ocean, Santiago offers a modern experience that integrates cosmopolitan culture and gastronomy. The city will provide the setting for pharmacometrics to find a point of convergence: a space where data engages in dialogue with drug development, and mathematical models transform clinical complexity into precision dosing.

An Established Regional Event

Since its first edition in Montevideo, Uruguay (2017), the RedIF Congress has become the leading pharmacometrics meeting in Latin America. Following editions in Guadalajara, Mexico (2018), Havana, Cuba (2019), Porto Alegre, Brazil (2022), and most recently Bogotá, Colombia (2024), this biennial event has brought together hundreds of scientists, clinicians, pharmaceutical industry professionals, academics, regulators, and students to share research, ideas, and discuss the future of the discipline in the region.

Scientific Program

The three-day program will feature five thematic seminars led by international speakers:

  • Pharmacometrics in Oncology: From Drug Development to Therapeutic Individualization
  • Pharmacometrics Applications in Bioequivalence: From Product Development to Approval
  • Model-Informed Precision Dosing in Clinical Practice
  • Mechanistic Modeling in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, and Disease Progression
  • Pharmacometrics Bridging Medicinal Chemistry and Clinical/Preclinical Studies

Round Table Discussion

The congress will conclude with a Round Table addressing the regulatory gaps and opportunities for implementing Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD) in Latin America. This session will bring together stakeholders from industry, academia, regulatory agencies, and clinical practice to discuss collaborative approaches for advancing the discipline in the region.

Pre-Meeting Workshops and Additional Information

Following the format of previous meetings, pre-meeting workshops will provide hands-on training with current modeling and simulation computational tools. Details about the workshops, abstract submission, and full program will be announced in the coming months.

Registration and Participation

The VI RedIF Congress 2026 invites the Ibero-American medical, pharmacological, and pharmaceutical communities to participate in this scientific meeting focused on pharmacometrics as a tool linking research, regulatory science, and clinical practice.
